Hi there @bobfromdallas, May we know what type of setup do you have for the export of data (is it on a Daily, Weekly or Monthly basis)? We suggest that, since data is only kept for 45 days, it’s a good idea to export the data once a month, so that you don’t lose any data if you forget to export manually. We also suggest using the monthly frequency because the way it works right now, ALL the data for the last 45 days is sent every time you perform an export. Eventually, you’ll also have to create a master worksheet and copy and paste the data from the newer spreadsheets into the older ones if you want more than 45 days’ worth of data in a single spreadsheet. You can export data every end of the month. This should suffice the need for you to get accurate readings from your data export. Do let us know how it goes.

I'm exporting data daily. The emails arrive reliably each morning.

 

My issue is with clearly erroneous values. Below is an excerpt.

 

The “Daily Usage Summary” all looks reasonable. But something went wrong with the “30 mins” data around 5/28/2018 9:00. From that point, the “Power Consumed for past 30 mins” appears to be a cumulative value. That is, from one 30-minute interval to the next, the value appears to increase by the actual consumption.

 

Also note that although the 30 mins consumption is zero from 7/7/2018 0:30, the daily usage is not zero and 7/8 and 7/9.

 

This particular device is on firmware version WeMo_WW_2.00.11057.PVT-OWRT-InsightV2.

 

Please let me know if I can provide any additional information.

I have had persistant issues with the Data Export function on my WEMO insight as well, exactly as you have shown. Random periods of negative consumption, and random parts where it starts showing incrementing power usage (cumulative data) over time.

 

My last data export for Aug still had negative values since June 2017. I have been in contact with belkin support since september 2017 (case number 09866193), with no resolution in sight (no pun intended) yet. 

 

The latest progress in my case is an RMA, which both the rep and I do not expect to solve the issue, but the rep wanted to pursue it anyway as a troubleshooting step.

 

My device shows the current power draw just fine via the app, so I don't really can't see any way at all it can be a hardware issue... but I'm happy to try anything at this point.

 

Just mentioning my case too, so that people are aware the issue is not a "one off". I wonder how many people who own the product actually use the feature, as it was quite hard to find in the app. And of those people, I wonder how many would be actaully bothered to try getting help for it not working...

I've uploaded my august file here. Latest firmware, latest app, reset, off and on... blah blah blah...
