Hi there, recently purchased WeMo Light Switch and I love it.
It is working fine within my home. WeMo can connect to my Cisco APs (controller based) and my IOS device (iPhone) can control this WeMo light switch.
The problem is when I am away from home. Remote access is enabled.
I use Cisco ASA as my firewall and can VPN (either IPsec or SSL) when I am away.
Once connected to VPN, I can 'ping' my WeMo Light Switch but my WeMo app displays 'Not Detected'
Is there any special port that I need to port forward (in Cisco ASA) into public IP?
Is there any special port that I need to allow in my Cisco ASA?

If using Android Smartphone, buy and install the WemoManager Android app from Google Play Store.
If using Mac, download and install the free wemoswitchbeta http://www.gtrigonakis.com/wemoswitchbeta
Both appications can manually enter the IP to connect the Wemo. Not need to set port forwarding on your router.
But I haven't got iPhone app informations, sorry.

Install wemo server in PC and you can use Web browser to control your switchers
