Trouble with Nighthawk router

We installed a new router- a Nighthawk R7000. In the process of reconnecting our devices, our Wemos switches will not connect? We get stuck on the devices cloud, where the phone app cannot connect to our 2.4ghz cloud.

 

Did anyone else have a similar problem?

Hi, rgedrich. Were you able to follow the reconfiguration steps outlined here? Have you tried using another handheld device in reconfiguring the Wemo devices with the new router?

 

Also, consider the following in setting up the Wemo devices:

  1. During set up, it is recommended to place the Wemo device near the router.
  2. Wemo supports WPA, WPA2 and WEP security types. You can click here to know more.
  3. Wemo is currently not compatible with networks that use Chinese characters in the Wi-Fi name or password. For more info, click here.
  4. If MAC address Filtering is enabled on your Wi-Fi router, temporarily disable it until the setup process is complete.
  5. Some routers have predetermined number of devices that can connect to its Wi-Fi.
