Really shouldn't be this hard. Using Google home and can't enable remote access and wemo won't recognize the MAC address for the mini. My nest thermostat connected with no problem. This is crap.

Guys, where the hell I can setup WiFi for the switch? Can anyone point me where it is in the menu? Right now I can see the device from wemo app only when my home WiFi is off and my data disabled. Trying to enable remote but fas. Does it need an internet access? Where and how do I set my home WiFi settings to it. Does it work with Google WiFi?

Just made a screenshot from the phone. Don't know whether I can post them here at all.
Anyway.
Screen one: WiFi connected to wemo, LTE disabled. When try to enable remote access I am getting error "need internet access"
Screen two. WiFi connected to wemo. LTE enabled. Wemo app says no network. Don't even see a list of devices.

Hi, Estis. Are you trying to set up a Wemo switch? If yes, then you may follow the steps in this article. Connecting it to Google WiFi should be fine. Let us know on which part you're having a challenge with so we can give you more recommendations.

 

If you've previously set up the Switch to a different network, you have to reset and reconfigure it to the new network settings. This link will help. Also, you need to be connected to the network where the Wemo device is connected to enable the Remote Access.

 

BTW, you can attach a photo/screenshot from here. Just click on "Insert/edit image" option on the upper tab.

This issue has to do with port blocking. Was having the issue for over a week and once I unblocked various ports, all was OK
