Wemo insight switch not turning off and not updating

Hello i recently bought an insight switch to automatically turn My espresso machine on and off. I have alot of problem with the switch.

I can make a schedule to turn on and off. But if i try to turn it on or off from the app it is unresponsive. There is a firmware update pending and I have tried to. Update several times. I am prompted to update and I accept it starts the update and fails. This happens No matter how close i am to the router. I have tried reinstalling the app and the switch but the problems remain. Can anyone help

Please try to use a different handheld device with an updated Wemo app. If resetting and reconfiguring the Wemo Insight and the workaround provided will not work. Please shoot us an email at WemoCares@belkin.com so we can have our Escalation Engineers assist you further along with the following details:

  • Phone Number
  • Location (City/State)
  • Username
  • LED status of the Wemo Insight
