Re: Firmware update 2-6-2018: KRACK and DNS mask vulnerability fixes

For Some reason I think this is what happened to me. This little piece of light switch garbage stopped working from night to day. All it does is amber light, I cannot find it. I tried restarting and resetting and nothing still same place.

Does any of this address the issue that most of my Wemo devices will not work with Google Wifi Mesh?  Wemo says it's Google's problem, Google says it's Wemo's problem.  I'm sitting on $300+ of hardware that won't link and it's not making me happy.

Wemo switches and plugs are unresponsive on Alexa. Can’t reach server.

@Mickke49

Try to reboot your WEMO device or unpair and pair them to Alexa. To clarify, were they working fine before? Are you still able to control them through the WEMO App?

I’m sorry I purchased this item. I have gotten no tech support. I have two switches and only one is detected most of time.

Re: Firmware update 2-6-2018: KRACK and DNS mask vulnerability fixes

So if I follow the helps I read and the ones I have even written, mine work, but I suspect some hardware versions are either defective or use different components. I reduced my number of wemo mini’s from 9 to 5, but will switch 4 or 3 soon one way I get my Hue Light strips to replace the Wemo minis control my under the cabinet lighting. I also was using one so I could reboot my Ring Pro doorbell that keeps tripping my plug in transformer. I’ll replace that with new siring soon. Finally, I’ve removed one wall switch and will see if I can replace at least 1 of the 2 other ones.

I say that because mine appear to be stable for now with less of these plugged in. Sad, but true. It’s either bad hardware or the software plays better with less devices.

Truth be told, I may remove them all if I can or as soon as I’m forced to reset my entire network all over again to get them to work. I’m tired of wasting my time trying to get them work.
