Light switches are warm

I have just installed two wemo light switches and they are warm to the touch. Is this normal? Is this a problem? The install was pretty straight forward .
Thanks in advance for the help

Re: Light switches are warm

I have several wall switch WeMo's and they are all warm to the touch. I've always just assumed this is a normal accumulation of heat energy from the small amount of vamping I'm sure these devices have.

Has anyone measured the standby power consumption of a WeMo wall switch?

Is that something that Belkin can do remotely?

I hope not.

Re: Light switches are warm

Hi Everyone,

The average power draw is less than 2 watts.  The major producer of the heat you feel is the Wi-Fi chip.

The temps were tested to meet or beat regulatory heat standards.
