I have 3 Plugs and more I wanted to use but if I can’t get them to work why bother. They were working originally and now showing in the Alexa app but un responsive.

Please try to disable and re-enable remote access on the Wemo app to see if there are any changes. If not, please try to unlink and relink the devices to Alexa for isolation.
Can you still control your Wemo devices using the Wemo app? Please try to force close your Wemo app and Alexa app, then power cycle your router and observe if that will fix the issue.
