No Grounded Wire to Connect to

Can a dimmer switch work without a ground wire connected? My light switch doesn't have a ground. It has two black wires (one hot, the other connects to a receptacle), a load wire (light bulb) and the neutral wires. What do I do with the green (ground) behind the wemo dimmer switch if there is no ground copper wire?

Installing the Wemo dimmer should be alright without a ground wire as per instruction, RJamesT3. However, make sure that there's no bare metal parts that are exposed. Also, we do recommend that you'll hire a professional electrician to install it on the wall. Here's the diagram for your reference. Hope this helps.
