I want to buy a Wemo smart plug to schedule charging of my Prius Plugin car (Link : http://amzn.to/2FryAAV)
It needs 15 amps max at 120 volts supply for about 2-3 hours.
Would the makers of this switch recommend such a use?
Is the Wemo switch heavy duty enough to support such a use case?
Would heating/etc be caused due to this?
Thanks a ton!
I am looking forward to buy my first Wemo switch once I get all the answers.

From the Belkin website: “Electrical Ration: 120V~/15A/60Hz/1800W” - whatever “Ration” is!
So you are right on the limit of their specification. Given all the WeMo problems (read this forum) I would be very wary of using WeMo in your application, but Belkin may see it differently.
