I configured my Wemo light swith to automatically turn off based on a timer.
This is a great feature, but when I'm expecting friends, I'd like to keep the light on until everybody is here.
It would be very convenient to allow a long press to leave the light on (bypass the turn-off timer) until someone presses the switch again to manually turn the light off.
I'm sure there would be more ideas on the long press, I find it under-used for now. For example, what about:
- Secondary timer (turn on for a longer duration than short press)
- Leave on for the rest of the night (until sunrise)
- Lock switch (child safety)
If anyone else has ideas of things to do with the long press, please add them here.
