For security I wanted to be able to turn on and off my outdoor front entry lights, backdoor pillar lights, indoor lamp, front yard landscape lights, LED pool lights, living room picture light and backyard landscape lights when someone walked to into the yard at night. I was able to accomplish this with a WeMo Maker and multiple Optex TD-20U motion sensors with their indoor RC-20U3 receiver. I simply took a dry contact off the Optex receiver into the sensor contactor on the WeMo Maker and set up a rule on the WeMo Maker which would only enable the WeMo Makers sensor input from 9pm to sunrise while at the same time controlling the following selected WeMo device.
front yard landscape lights - WeMo switch installed in a Leviton T5979-T Telescoping While in use cover
LED pool lights - WeMo switch installed in a receptacle under a fake rock
living room picture light - WeMo light switch
backyard landscape lights - WeMo switch installed in a Leviton T5979-T Telescoping While in use cover
I was also hoping to use my panic switch; which is a WeMo light switch next to the bed in the master bed to turn on all the above lights plus my FakeTV, radio, master bathroom lights and barking dog speaker in the garage. I was able to get everything working but have not been able to get the IFTTT to work on the WeMo Maker. This means I can not trigger the WeMo Maker relay which is connected to a modified barking dog alarm in the garage. It should be noted that others have had issues with WeMo maker working with IFTTT on iPhones.
